Hello, my name is Tyler Mykkanen.

I am a special education professional with six years of experience in mainstream and alternative learning settings. I have taught at Stride Academy Middle School since 2010. Previously, I taught at Morrison County Learning Center and Becker Middle School.

I was educated at Saint Cloud State University. My degrees include a B.S in Special Education with an emphasis on Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, Graduate Certificates in Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and a M.S. in Special Education.

My teaching licenses are in EBD and SLD. I am NCLB Highly Qualified in Language Arts and Math.

I have a passion for training staff. I have been a CPI Certified Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Instructor since 2007 and I hold advanced training certifications in Applied Physical Training and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
